The Oklahoma City Magic Club meets jointly with Ring 46,
a chapter of the International Brotherhood of Magicians at 7 P.M. on the first
Monday of every month, except September, at the City Arts Building at the
Oklahoma City Fairgrounds. Visitors are welcome to attend
most meetings, but one would do well to check the
current newsletter for details on upcoming meetings. We welcome anyone with a
sincere interest in the art of magic. Yearly dues are $20. An application for membership

2008 Pandemonium of Magic
is 2 PM on Saturday, August 23rd at the City Arts. This year's Pandemonium is in honor of one of its most influencial founders, Jim Smithson. Tickets are $7 and are available through club members and Party Bazaar on 4800 North MacArthur.
For magicians, this is a whole day of magic. The magicians event is $20 and includes a pot luck session at 11 AM, Pandemonium at 2PM, a Lecture with Mark Tams at 3:30, and a visit to Fontier City in the evening to watch a show by David Thomas - all for $20.

A great loss to the magic community, Jim Smithson passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2008. Jim was a major inlfluence in the lives of many magicians, both in Oklahoma City and the in magic community at large. A member of the International Brotherhood of Magiciains and the Magic Castle, he was on record as being the longest continuous member of the Oklahoma City Magic Club. The Oklahoma City Magic Club granted Jim a Lifetime Membership Award in 2007 for his many contributions to the magic community.
The next regular meeting is at 11 AM on Saturday, September 6th at the City Arts. The September meeting is our annual swap meet, so bring magic to sell and / or money to buy magic. The September meeting is a pot luck. So bring your most popular dish to share.
Project F.O.R.K.
The name Roger Klause is known to magicians the world over. For the last 50 years, Roger has stood as an icon in magic, making himself available at conventions, sessions and private meetings whenever and wherever the opportunity allowed.
Roger has become very ill and medical expenses are mounting. To help with the expenses a site has been set up to accept donations from his fans and friends.
